Business Loans and Tax Credits in New Hampshire
The ability for businesses to grow and New Hampshire has financial resources ready to work with them when the time comes to invest in that growth.
The
New Hampshire Business Finance Authority (BFA) offers easy-to-use credit enhancements and direct lending tools to New Hampshire companies. The BFA works with the
New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) to administer loans, including deferred loans and low-interest loans, to qualified nonprofits.
The
Community Loan Fund of New Hampshire provides loans for small business owners, affordable housing developers, local farms and food producers, community service organizations, and more.
Several tax credit programs are also available. The
New Hampshire Research and Development Tax Credit enables businesses to apply for tax credits on new research and development costs, which they can use toward business taxes paid.
The
Economic Revitalization Zone tax credit offers a short-term business tax credit for projects that improve infrastructure and create jobs in designated areas of a
municipality.
The
Coos County Job Creation tax credit is awarded to businesses hiring employees for new, full-time positions that pay wages 150 percent higher than the minimum wage.
