NH Housing Production Reaches 20-Year High

The latest data in BEA’s 2025 Current Estimates and Trends in New Hampshire’s Housing Supply show New Hampshire’s housing production reached its highest annual level in nearly two decades. In 2024, municipalities issued permits for 5,822 housing, which is the highest total since 2005. Assuming full buildout, the state has added 25,688 housing units since 2020.
