The New Hampshire Canadian Trade Council announces its new member roster as it begins its 34th year of fostering collaboration and partnerships with the state’s top trading partner. Established in 1991, the trade council is comprised of legislators and business leaders from around the Granite State that come together to promote cross-border economic and cultural interests.
“New Hampshire and Canada have a wonderful friendship and strong economic ties,” said Governor Kelly Ayotte. “The New Hampshire Canadian Trade Council plays a key role in fostering this important partnership by bringing legislative leaders, the business community, and other stakeholders to the table. Working together with our neighbors to the north, we will bring even more opportunity to the state – especially our North Country.”
Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) Commissioner Taylor Caswell noted that the relationship has deep roots in both countries.
“For the past 34 years, this trade council has built and maintained strong relationships north of the border,” he said. “Now is the time for us to focus on industry collaboration and investment for the benefit of us both.”
“The newly appointed New Hampshire Canadian Trade Council is poised to bring several important sectors together to strengthen the very important relationships we have with our Canadian counterparts,” said Secretary of State David Scanlan. “I am excited to pursue and create new opportunities on both sides of the border.”
